Young voices from the Phoenix area on 89.5 K-Bach! April 14th’s From the Top program at 7:00pm was recorded live at the Mesa Arts Center on February 19th. Performers from the Valley of the Sun included the Phoenix Children’s Chorus, which has members ranging from eight to eighteen years of age. The Phoenix Children's Chorus has grown from one group of just 35 members, to its current seven choirs, with over 300 children.

The 13th Annual Phoenix Film Festival ran April 4 -11 at the Harkins 101, 7000 E. Mayo Boulevard in Phoenix. The festival annually screens more than 150 films; this year’s offerings included four feature films making their world premieres.

Arizona Pro Arte, formerly the Scottsdale Baroque Orchestra, had a very busy, and so far successful, first season. The newly dubbed orchestra, under the helm of artistic director and conductor, Timothy Verville, strives to provide the valley with Bach, Beethoven and beyond: concerts infused with a vigorous dose of collaboration often utilizing visual arts: film, painting and real time computer visualizations. March 22 & 24, the spirit of innovation and collaboration continued, as Az Pro Arte explored loss and redemption.
