We received a generous letter in the mail from a group of dedicated artists –all members of the Arizona Artist Guilld: "Dear KBAQ---KBACH is our listening pleasure during the life drawing sessions- allowing our personal muse to come through for creative and spontaneous drawing activity.” Well, as it turns out, the artists weren’t the only ones who found K-Bach’s classical music inspiring.

Just when you thought that live classical music had dried up in the Valley of the Sun there’s a summer series taking place at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Arizona Pro Arte has the second of it’s summer Chamber orchestra programs this Saturday evening.

Free Family Fun Day has been an annual tradition for the Arizona State University Art Museum for over a decade now. Each year, the event draws in families from around the valley to participate in hands-on activities.

First Friday on Roosevelt will be returning this week with hundreds of examples of the artistic talent in Phoenix. Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral will be opening with painter Alfredo Escarcega’s work, which is heavily based on Surrealism. His influences come from his surroundings—from the barrios of Southern California to the deserts of Arizona, Escarcega’s Technicolor art offers a unique perspective on the world.
